Travel Policy
June 18th, 2025
PNRRS encourages all of our members to travel outside our region to gain experience and coaching in different environments. If a member identifies a travel opportunity they may request assistance with travel costs. PNRRS will assess each application and award a travel grant based on the following criteria:
The event must have a recognized referee coach (CMO) who will observe at least one match and provide a written report to the PNRRS RDO. Traveling to an event to “make up the numbers” whether as a volunteer or with payment does not qualify for a travel grant.
A member can receive one grant per calendar year.
The grant will cover 80% of total travel costs up to a maximum of $250.
Travel costs can include flights, transportation to/from airport and/or grounds, airport parking, accommodation, mileage (if driving). Cost of food and other incidental expenses will not be covered.
If some costs are being covered by another source (e.g. the event organizer) they should not be included in the grant request.
A travel grant must be applied for in advance.
PNRRS may vary these conditions for specific individuals and events.
PNRRS has a limited budget for travel grants, so members are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
